Privacy Policy

01 Who we are

This site and the Kusanagi tool are operated by Mars Landing Media LLC, an Arizona limited liability company ("we", "us"). NeuralKatana is a proof of an AI inference instrument, and this site is its notebook. We are a small operation and we keep this policy in plain language on purpose.

02 The website

There are no accounts, no sign-in, no advertising networks, no analytics beacons and no tracking cookies on neuralkatana.ai. What we do hold:

Server access logs. Our web server records the IP address, user agent, requested path and timestamp of each request, as every web server does. We use these logs to keep the site up, to defend it, and to count visits. They are kept for a limited period and then rotated away.
The letter. If you write to us through the site's letter form, the name, email address and message you enter are delivered to us by email. We use them only to read and answer you. They are kept as ordinary correspondence and are not added to any list.
Third-party media. Some rooms play music streamed from SoundCloud and show videos hosted on YouTube. When those play, your browser talks to SoundCloud or Google directly and their privacy policies apply to that traffic. We do not receive anything about you from them. Fonts and every other asset are served from our own server.

03 Kusanagi and Google user data

Kusanagi is an internal publishing tool. Mars Landing Media uses it to upload our own videos, set their thumbnails and manage playlists on YouTube channels we own. It is not offered to the public and it does not collect information from visitors of this site.

To do its job, Kusanagi connects to the YouTube Data API with the youtube.upload and youtube permissions, granted through Google sign-in by the channel owner. Through those permissions it accesses:

the identity of the connected YouTube channel (channel id and title);
the metadata of videos, thumbnails and playlists it creates or edits on that channel.

How that data is handled:

Use. Only to upload videos and set their metadata, thumbnails and playlists on the connected channel. Nothing else.
Storage. The sign-in token is stored on our own machines, encrypted at rest by the operating system's credential store, and never on a shared server. A record of each upload (video id, title, date) is kept alongside the video's source files.
Sharing. We do not sell, rent, share or transfer Google user data to anyone. It is not used for advertising, and it is not read by any person other than the operator who granted access.
Retention and revocation. The token stays until the channel owner revokes it, which can be done at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Revoking it disables Kusanagi immediately.

Kusanagi's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

04 Children

This site and Kusanagi are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

05 Your rights

If you have written to us and want your message deleted, or you want to know what we hold about you, ask and we will do it. Depending on where you live you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA; we honour reasonable requests from anyone regardless of jurisdiction.

06 Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the new version is published here with a new effective date. Questions go through the letter on neuralkatana.ai or to jdeluna@marslanding.media.
